Obituary for Adeline Margaret Psioda
Adeline Margaret Psioda, age 100, of Decatur, Illinois, and formerly of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014, at Fair Havens Christian Home in Decatur. Adeline was born February 14, 1914, in Harvey, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Panzer) Wood. Throughout her life, Adeline lived in Harvey, Darlington, S.C., and Janesville. She married Chester Psioda on April 30, 1966, in Darlington, S.C. He preceded her in death on October 19, 1988. While in Darlington, Adeline worked as a time keeper for twelve years at Perfection Gear. She was a former member of St. William Catholic Church in Janesville.
Adeline is survived by two daughters: Shirley Sander of Rock Falls, IL, and Donna (Harold) Dausman of Decatur, IL; twelve grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Chester, Adeline was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Schnuckel and Evelyn Mulder.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Adeline's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 407 E. Eldorado St., Decatur, IL, with Rev. John Burnette presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday prior to the Mass at the church.
A Committal Service officiated by Fr. John Auby and followed by entombment will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014, at Mount Olivet Mausoleum in Janesville, WI. Assisting the family in Decatur is Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, 217-917-4893. The family is also being assisted by Hansen Funeral Service, Janesville, WI, 608-752-8800.
