Obituary for Doris Elizabeth "Polly" LaSure
Doris Elizabeth "Polly" LaSure, age 94, and a long time Janesville resident, died at Alden Meadow Park Nursing Home, Clinton, WI, on October 17, 2013, with her family at her side. Polly was born January 25, 1919, in Albany, WI, the daughter of Luther "Frank" and Louise (Jones) Watts. Polly married Leslie Charles "Les" LaSure June 10, 1944, in Belvidere, IL. Les died October 11, 1996. Polly was a beautician for many years and a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Beauty in Madison, WI, in 1936. She had worked at Marilyn's Wave Makers in Janesville and was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.
Polly is survived by her daughter, Nancy (William Sr.) Beinema of Janesville; and her grandchildren: Becky (Dennis) Borgwardt of Janesville, Jill (Brian) Barbieur of Evansville, Marcia (Dave) DeLong of Janesville and Scott (Theresa) Beinema of Little Chute. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Kathy (Dean) Johnson, Jenny Kosak, Laura (Chad Marshman) Barbieur, Erin (Scott) Hamburg, Amy (Gabe) Burke, Mike DeLong, Konrad Barbieur, Christopher (Mallory Rice) Barbieur, Gregg Beinema and Ryan Beinema. She is also survived by 9 great-great grandchildren, Clarrissa, Kierra, Olivia, Lilly, Jackson, Vivian, Beckett, August and Molly. In addition she is survived by 3 step great grandchildren and 10 step great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, William Beinema Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, Janesville, with Chaplain David Brynelson officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Monday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Echo, Agrace Hospice or the YWCA Women's Shelter. Hansen Funeral Home, Janesville, is assisting the family.
