Elizabeth Joan "Betty" Gavigan, age 81, of Janesville, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Nazareth House in Stoughton, WI. She was born on September 17, 1932, in Janesville, the daughter of George Roger and Margaret Ellen (Kennedy) Cunningham. Betty was married to Earl Gavigan, who died in 1977. She had been employed as a housekeeper at St. Mary Catholic Church rectory in Milton, WI.
She is survived by her niece, Mary Zapp of Billings, MT.
Betty's remains were cremated and a graveside service will be held in Spring of 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Milton, WI. Hansen Funeral Home, Janesville, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hansenfh.com
