Obituary for Gloria Doherty
Gloria Doherty, age 59, of Milton, WI, died Saturday, October 12, 2013, at home. She was born on August 6, 1954, in Las Cruces, NM, the daughter of Roumaine and Victoria (Galaviz) Holland, Sr. Gloria married Kirby Doherty on February 14, 2005, in Monroe, WI. Gloria was a loving mother and she will be dearly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Kirby Doherty of St. Germain, WI; two children: Jeremi (Sue Cowan) Alexander of Janesville, WI; Shelly (Steve Groll) Alexander of Milton; two grandsons: Trevor and Johnny; her mother, Victoria Holland, and her father, Roumaine Holland, both of Monroe; one sister, Debra (Tom) Lelle of Monroe; four brothers: Roland (Kendra) Holland of Savannah, GA; Roumaine (Kathy) Holland, Jr. of New Glarus, WI; William (Teresa) Holland of Monroe; Daniel (Jody) Holland of Argyle, WI; and her former sister-in-law, Jill (Tom) Melland. Gloria is also survived by her four-legged grandson, Fathead, and her kitty, Sammy. Gloria was predeceased by a brother, Randall Holland.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, Janesville, with Fr. Stephen Umhoefer officiating. Visitations will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, and from noon until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral chapel. A gathering and luncheon will follow at Hammy's, 2131 Center Ave., Janesville, for a celebration of life. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
