Obituary for Harriet M. Koeberl
Harriet M. Koeberl, age 86, of Janesville, WI, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Janesville. Harriet was born June 25, 1926, in Janesville, the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Schmidt) Linde. She was a 1944 graduate of Janesville High School. Harriet married George J. Koeberl at St. Mary Catholic Church in Janesville. George died November 15, 1967. Harriet worked at Parker Pen Company until 1958 and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Janesville. Harriet's vibrant personality and infectious smile were always a source of joy and inspiration for all who knew her. Throughout her life she remained young at heart and always enjoyed the simplest of life's pleasures, including soap operas, dogs and watching her grandchildren grow. She was a social "butterfly" whose generous spirit and loving nature remains an everlasting impression on her closest friends and family. As a devoted child of God, her family takes deepest comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed into heaven to live again among the angels.
Survivors include her daughter, Gina (Dean) Copp; her son, Mark Koeberl; three grandchildren: Marissa, Alex "AJ" and Sabrina Copp; and a brother, Ralph (Elaine) Linde, all of Janesville. In addition to her parents and her husband, George, Harriet was predeceased by a brother and his wife, Charles (Sue) Linde.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 313 E. Wall St., Janesville, with Fr. Stephen Umhoefer presiding. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. noon until the time of the service Monday at the church. Burial will be at Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church. The family is being assisted by Brian Hansen Funeral Service, 608-752-8800.
