Obituary for James Paul "Jim" McGuire
James Paul "Jim" McGuire, age 72, of rural Edgerton, WI, died Sunday morning, March 23, 2014, at Edgerton Hospital, Edgerton. Jim was born on July 3, 1941, in Blue Island, Illinois, the son of Joseph Michael and Jeannette Anne (Nita) McGuire, Sr. He married the former Patricia Ann "Pat" Stanek on June 28, 1998, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edgerton. Jim worked as a machinist for several years at Kipp Cast in Madison, WI, and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife, Pat McGuire of rural Edgerton; two daughters: Vicki Davis and Christine Adams, both of Janesville; a step-daughter, Teresa Young of Fort Atkinson, WI; two step-sons: Randall (Deanna) Uglum of Arlington, TX; Thomas Uglum of Edgerton; four siblings: Catherine McGuire of Wheaton, IL; Fran (Tim) O'Shea of Reno, NV; Stanley McGuire of Seattle, WA; and Charles "Chuck" McGuire of Janesville. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by a sister, Jeanne Bey, and a brother, Joseph "Mick" McGuire.
A graveside memorial committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Janesville, WI, with Fr. Stephen Umhoefer officiating. Hansen Funeral Home, Janesville, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hansenfh.com
