Obituary for Jane Ann DiVall Schaaf
Jane Ann DiVall Schaaf, age 85, of Janesville, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Huntington Memory Care, Janesville, WI. Jane was born on September 23, 1928, in Erie, IL, the daughter of Percy Harold and Ella Marie (Edge) DiVall. She graduated from Erie Community High School in 1946, obtained a BS in Home Economics Education in 1950 from the University of Illinois, and also did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin in 1970. Jane married Charles A. Pollard in 1948. She later married Christ E. Schaaf on June 26, 1983, at the First Methodist Church in Beloit, WI. Jane was a homemaker, mother, teacher of home economics and the owner of The China Shop, LTD, established in 1976 and liquidated in 1995. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Janesville, PEO Sisterhood, and past member of Zonta International. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Goodwill Ambassadors of Janesville Chamber of Commerce, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Jane's lifetime interests included reading, travel, cooking, music and people in general.

Survivors include her husband, Christ Schaaf; two daughters: Debra (Gary Pankonien) DiVall of Janesville; Rebecca (Ken Kloos) Pollard of Janesville, and her children, Jake, Maggie (Patty Krug) and Sam Stotler; two step-children: Charlie (Carol) Schaaf and Mary (Jim) Orley of Janesville, and their son, Spencer. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Lt. Col. Robert DiVall.

A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville, with Rev. Bruce Gray officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Milton Junction Cemetery, Milton.
