Obituary for Janet E. "Jessie" Jessup
Janet Evelyn "Jessie" Jessup, age 73, of Beloit, WI, formerly of Janesville, died Saturday, April 04, 2015, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. Jessie was born on January 4, 1942, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Jerome Walter and Ethel Edna (Hodgman) Sandager, Sr. She married James Allen Jessup on December 9, 1967, in Coon Rapids, MN. They later divorced and James died in 1989. Jessie worked as a department manager in retail and as an apartment building caretaker. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Janesville and the Eagles Auxiliary. Jessie loved to crochet and make baskets. Jessie is survived by two daughters: Pamela Holmberg of Janesville and Beverly Sandoval of Beloit; six grandchildren: Stephanie, Chantal, Kristofer, Paul, Mikhaela and Xavier; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Schutta; five brothers: Jerome Jr. "Sonny", Jack, Mike, Steven and Bill, all of Minnesota; also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jessie was predeceased by three brothers, James, Robert and Norman, one sister, Carol, and a grandson, Andrew. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at First Lutheran Church, 612 N. Randall Ave, Janesville, with Pastor James Melvin officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the church on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the family.
