Obituary for Janet Marie Lucey
Janet Marie Lucey, age 53, of Janesville, WI, died late Wednesday evening, November 26, 2014, at Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in Janesville. Janet was born February 2, 1961, in Janesville, the daughter of Richard Thomas and Anne Elizabeth (Kehoe) Lucey. Janet loved photography and artwork and used her artistic ability in several endeavors before becoming ill. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Janesville.
Survivors include her mother, Anne Lucey of Janesville; eight sisters: Mary (Tim) Fitzgerald of Tomball, TX; Ellen Lucey of Gilbert, AZ; Linda (Bill) Rinehart of DePere, WI; Carol (Mike) Striegl of Milton, WI; Jean (E.J.) Otto of Wausau, WI; Nancy Lucey of Janesville; Joyce (Mike) Johnson of South Beloit, IL; Martha (Vern Armstrong) Lucey of Des Moines, IA; and many nieces and nephews. Janet was predeceased by her father, Dick Lucey.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 313 E. Wall St., Janesville, with Fr. Stephen Umhoefer presiding. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday at the church. Burial of cremated remains will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Milton, WI. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin, 222 Arch St., Janesville, 53548, or Rotary Gardens, 1455 Palmer Dr., Janesville, 53545.
