Obituary for John A. "Johnny B" Badertscher
John A. "Johnny B" Badertscher, age 56, of Janesville, lost his battle with cancer on Friday, April 5, 2013, at home. He was born March 27, 1957, in Janesville, the son of Leo Brewer and Ruth Marie (McGinnity) Badertscher. John was a family man with a big heart. He loved golfing with his friends, March Madness, and was proud of the days he spent and the friends and memories he made running Sporty's Bar and working for J.P. Cullen and Sons. He loved making those around him smile.
Survivors include his partner of more than 30 years, Dolly Karleski Quaerna; two "daughters": Andrea (Ryan) Westbrook, Alisia (Shawn) Myers; his son, Andrew (Samantha) Palan; three granddaughters: Brooklyn, Kara and Kenadee; his mother, Ruth Weis; three sisters: Sue (Bob) Knutson, Sally Hariu, Patty (Steve) Keller; and two brothers: Jim (Keri) Badertscher and Joe Badertscher. John was preceded in death by his father.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Wedges, 2006 N. Washington St., Janesville, starting at noon Saturday, April 20, 2013. A private family service will be held at a later date.
