Obituary for Kathleen M. Thompson
Kathleen Marie Thompson, age 60, of Eau Claire, WI, formerly of Janesville, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.
The former Kathleen Marie Drager was born on December 22, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of James and Mary (Stork) Drager. She was engaged to Robert Risler of Eau Claire. Kathy worked for many years as an in-home caregiver. She loved taking care of people and helped anyone she could.
Kathy is survived by her fiancé, Bob Risler; two sisters, Judy Hemberger and Shirley Baptist; a brother, Timothy Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary Hall and James Drager, Kathy was preceded in death by her daughter, Faith Marie Selby, a sister, Frances Shoudy, and a brother, Jim Drager.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Hansen Funeral Home, 211 South Main Street, Janesville, with Pastor Dave Fogderud officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Sunday at the funeral home. Graveside committal service will be on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Cemetery, 1465 310th Street, Glenwood City, Wisconsin, 54013.
