Obituary for Patricia Barbara "Pat" Dominy
Patricia Barbara "Pat" Dominy, age 74, formerly of Janesville and Bella Vista, AR, and most recently a resident of Willow Pointe Assisted Living in Verona, WI, passed away there on Thursday, February 13, 2014. Pat was born in Monroe, WI, on March 29, 1939, the daughter of Arthur William and Hulda (Bischofberger) Palmer. She graduated from New Glarus High School and received her nursing degree from The Cradle in Evanston, Illinois. Pat married Jack Thomas Dominy on August 22, 1964, at St. William Catholic Church in Paoli, WI. Upon retirement in 1997, Pat and Jack moved to Bella Vista, AR. Jack passed away on January 22, 2011, in Bentonville, AR. Pat was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Janesville and formerly St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista.
Survivors include three children: a daughter, Sharon (David) Grooms of Delafield, WI; two sons: Neil (Rosanne) Dominy of Rhinelander, WI; Dean Dominy of Janesville, WI; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Rebecca (Jerry) Lee of Dublin, OH.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 1250 E. Racine St., Janesville, with Fr. John Auby presiding. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Janesville. As Pat loved to cook and feed people, memorials in her name may be made to your local food pantry. Hansen Funeral Home, Janesville, 608-752-8800, is assisting the family.
