Obituary for Vincent G. Boyle
Janesville-Wisconsin Rapids - Vincent G. Boyle, age 74, passed away on Monday, June 30th, 2014, at House of Dove Hospice, Marshfield, WI. He was born May 31, 1940, in Janesville, WI, to Glen and Nellie (Hayes) Boyle. Vincent was a long time resident of Janesville, attended St. Patrick School and graduated with the class of '58 from Janesville Senior High School. Vince served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. He married Lois Wheeler at St. Patrick Catholic Church on November 14, 1964. Vince was employed with Janesville products for 39 years; retired in 2002, moved to Yuma, AZ, and then to Wisconsin Rapids in 2006. Vince remained true to the saying "Once a Marine always a Marine", he was an avid reader and a Green Bay Packer fan. Vince was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Vincent is survived by his wife Lois; son Michael Boyle of Wisconsin Rapids; daughter Kathryn Dewitt of Janesville; adopted son James Boyle of La Crosse; brother Quentin (Mary) Boyle of Ottawa, IL; four grandchildren: Peter Boyle, Vincent Boyle, Atrinity Giese, Ryne Boyle; and many nephews, nieces and friends. He is preceded by his parents; son Phillip Boyle; sister Frannie Real; brother Phillip Boyle and brother-in-law Louis Wheeler.
A memorial visitation will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at All Faiths Funeral Home, Janesville, followed by a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. led by Vincent's brother, Major Quentin Boyle of the Salvation Army. Military honors will follow the prayer service. Interment will take place at a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Janesville.
