Obituary for Violet Ida Michiels
Violet Ida Michiels, age 91, formerly of Janesville, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Heritage Assisted Living in Middleton, WI. Violet was born on October 4, 1922, in Luxemburg, WI, the daughter of William and Olga (Lenz) Gaedtke. She married Louis Earl Michiels on August 1, 1942, in Humboldt, WI. Louis died February 24, 2004. Violet was a leader in the Homemakers Club and 4-H, in addition to working at Scotty's Super Value.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Michiels of Madison, WI; her son, Ken (Linda) Michiels of Mason, WI; six grandchildren: Jennifer Klein, Sara Siggelkow, Dana Welling, Tye Michiels, Rebecca Stanek and Brian Romack; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce Farah of Sturgeon Bay, WI. In addition to her husband, Louis, Violet was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Cuish and Ellen Limburg, and two brothers, Gerald and Wilmer Gaedtke.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel. Pastor Nathan Krause, of Abiding Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove, will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum.
