Obituary for William A. "Bill" Torrisi
William Arthur "Bill" Torrisi, age 81, formerly of the Town of Rock, and currently a resident of Milton Senior Living, Milton, WI, died there on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Bill was born on August 19, 1932, in Rockton, IL, the son of William and Dorothy (Leisher) Torrisi. He was a U.S. Army veteran and married Joanne Marie "Jo" Pantel on April 7, 1956, in Hanover, WI. Jo died November 26, 2013. Bill had been a vegetable farmer on Cemetery Road in the Town of Rock for many years.
Bill is survived by his four children: William (Becky) Torrisi of Sauk City, WI; Joe (Lisa) Torrisi of Niagara Falls, NY; Jack (Linda) Torrisi of Dale, WI; Denise (Peter) Jensen of Janesville; six grandchildren: Michael, Danielle, Sandy, Jacklyn, Case and Joanna; and one great-granddaughter, Rian Sophia. In addition to his parents and his wife, Jo, Bill was predeceased by his sister, Blanche Burrows.
A prayer service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, Janesville. A memorial visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday at the chapel. Burial will take place at a later date in Town of Rock Cemetery, Afton. Memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice, 2901 N. Wright Road, Janesville, 53546.
