Obituary for Carole A. Johnson
Carole Ann Johnson, age 67, of Monroe and formerly of Richmond, WI, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. Carole was born January 12, 1949, in Janesville, the daughter of Arnold R. and Virginia J. (Steinke) Johnson. She had worked as a legal secretary in Milwaukee for several years. Anyone who knew Carole, knew she loved wordplay and was always ready to respond with her quick wit and sarcasm. She loved music, especially songs of the Patsy Cline, The Platters, and Elvis era.
Carole is survived by her brother, Doug (Kathy) Johnson of Brodhead, WI; her sister Diane Kallenbach of Powell, OH; nephews Aaron (Sunayna) Johnson, Erik Kallenbach, Jacob Kallenbach; niece Krista (Ryan) Pinnow; great nephews Gavin, Tegan and Dainon; great nieces Tenley and Alina; several aunts, an uncle and many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Hansen Funeral Home, 211 S. Main St., Janesville, with Fr. Thomas Marr presiding. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.hansenfh.com
