Obituary for Joyce Maxine Ryan
Joyce Maxine Ryan, age 77, of Janesville, Wisconsin, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Rock Haven Nursing Home in Janesville, with her family by her side. She was born August 14, 1935, in Rock Township, Rock County, WI, the daughter of Robert and Lisa (Rowley) Neuenschwander. Joyce was a 1953 graduate of Evansville High School and married Quentin Paul Ryan on November 1, 1964, in Galena, Illinois. Quentin died August 6, 2007. She was a member of UAW #1268 and had worked at Chrysler in Belvidere, retiring in 1996, after 29 years of service.
Survivors include two sons: Patrick (Mary O'Connor) Ryan and James (Diana Schultz) Ryan, both of Janesville; a daughter, Susan Martin of Indiana; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Corvan (Joanne) Neuenschwander of Evansville, WI. In addition to her husband, Quentin, Joyce was predeceased by two sons, Daniel and Craig; two brothers, James and Roger; and her faithful companion, her dog, Molly.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 1618 E. Racine St., Janesville, with Msgr. James Uppena presiding. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville, WI. Memorials may be made in Joyce's name to Mercy Hospice Care, 901 Mineral Point Ave., Janesville, WI 53548, for the care of all in need of hospice in our community.
