Obituary for Susan R. Flood
Susan Ramona "Sue" Flood, age 58, of Janesville, WI, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care in Janesville. Sue was born in Janesville on September 10, 1957, the daughter of Dempsey Edward and Beata Amelia Gertrude (Schulz) Hillary. She attended St. Matthew Lutheran School in Janesville, kindergarten through eighth grade, and was a 1975 graduate of Craig High School. Sue married Patrick A. Flood August 12, 1977. He died March 26, 1983. She married Robert D. Wilson June 28, 1997, with whom she spent the rest of her life. Sue worked in the home health field and bartended for many years. She delivered Meals on Wheels, played in city pool leagues and was a life-long Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoyed her plants, riding motorcycle and loved life. Sue was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survivors include her long-time companion, Bob Wilson of Janesville; childhood and loyal friend to Susan throughout her illness, Cherry (David) Barnes; two sons, one daughter and two grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Patrick, Susan was predeceased by her parents. Sue was so grateful for her friends who were like family, all their cards and calls during her illness, and especially Joan Francis and Patricia Newman for their companionship. Special thanks to Agrace Hospice for their care of Susan. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2016, at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 709 Milton Ave., Janesville, with Pastor James Janke officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, at Hansen Funeral Home, 211 South Main St., Janesville, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Monday at the church. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. Memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Church. Hansen Funeral Home, Janesville, 608-752-8800, is assisting the family.
