Obituary for Muriel B. Topp
Muriel B. Topp, age 91, of Janesville, WI, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Muriel was born August 15, 1921, in Janesville, the daughter of Arvard Carlson and Constance (Mortensen) West. She was married to John H. Topp Sr. They later divorced and he passed away in June 1983. Muriel worked at Borg's and SSI, retiring in 2006.
Muriel is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. Duncan; a son, John H. Topp, Jr., both of Janesville; four grandchildren: Cindy (Bill Schreiber) Clark; Kim Duncan, both of Janesville; Rick (Cheryl) Duncan of Kansas City, MO; Jodi (Topp) Lysne of Minneapolis, MN; five great-grandchildren: Jessica (John) Nottestad; Emily (Justin Schroeder) Walhovd; Noah Walhovd; Zachary Duncan; Kelly Hanlon; four great-great grandchildren: Jayce, Jossalyn, Jordyn, Austin; a sister, Jackie Cookson of Milton, WI; a brother, Bill (Pat) Powers of Milwaukee, WI; and her special former granddaughter-in-law, Darcy Duncan. Muriel is predeceased by a grandson and his wife, Gary (Julie) Duncan; a sister, Nancy Howard; and two brothers: Don Powers and Phillip Carlson.
Private family services will take place on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel, Janesville, with Reverend Naomi Garber officiating.
