Obituary for Raymond Bernard Soeder
Raymond Bernard Soeder, age 91, of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away at home on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Raymond was born on September 12, 1921, in Montgomery, Indiana. He served in the Conservation Corps of Engineers for two years and in World War II for four years in the U.S. Air Force. He married Victoria Jonas in 1947. She preceded him in death in 1995. They had four children: Bob, Suzi, David and Patti; and five grandchildren. Raymond owned and operated the Friendly Tap in Janesville for 25 years and also worked for 20 years as a maintenance man for Marshall Erdman in Madison, retiring at the age of 82.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Montgomery, IN, with Fr. James Koressel presiding. Military graveside rites will be provided by the Loogootee American Legion and VFW. The family was assisted locally by Hansen Funeral Home, Janesville.
